Last month, Major Taylor Project youth and volunteers gathered at Camp Long to ride bikes, explore their community and ask big questions about injustice, family and the structures that order our society. The Youth Action Retreat was a shining example of why we are stronger together.
Last month, Cascade and partners hosted Silly Hilly, a scavenger hunt and scouting walk/ride through the northern section of the Central Area Neighborhood Greenway. Armed with rubber ducks and decked out in costumes, these families were helping to plan safe, convenient biking and walking through the area.
While we work on making these roads safer through infrastructure, we’d like to remind all bicyclists that we are not the only vulnerable road and trail users out there. Please adhere to posted speed limits, be mindful of your fellow road users and slow down in pedestrians mixing zones.
