September tour lotteries close soon

Have an adventure this September

Get out on the open road this September with a Cascade bike tour. Lotteries are now open for two of our most breathtaking tours—Southern Oregon and Wallowa & Hells Canyon. You’ll experience quiet back-country, roaring rivers and some of our region’s most impressive natural beauty. Both of these tours are rated moderate difficulty and include standard support. Registration is by members-only lottery (see details below), and you have until Thursday, March 6 at noon to enter.

About the tours

Wallowa and Hells Canyon Overview

Explore the stunning beauty of Eastern Oregon, where cowboy country and wilderness meet the deepest canyon in the U.S.  Enjoy bucolic back roads, countless miles of car-free riding, gorgeous landscapes and memorable off-bike activities.  Be sure to bring walking shoes to enjoy the art and bronze works in Joseph, the hiking trails on Mt. Howard (after the tram ride!), the interpretive walk in Hells Canyon (after your jet boat ride) and the Oregon Trail interpretive center.  Bring your swimsuit for Wallowa Lake and, of course, your camera to capture it all! Southern Oregon Overview

Ride on quiet roads with minimal traffic for most of this tour. Lunch at Crater Lake, spend an evening at the theater, dine at the edge of Lithia Park in Ashland or use your day off to go rafting on the Rogue River. The last day of tour takes you through scenic back roads via historic Wolf Creek to the BLM Cow Creek route back to Canyonville. [continue reading]

How to enter the tour lottery

Entering is fast and easy:

  • For Wallawa, go here.
  • For Southern Oregon, go here.

  • Enter your first name, last name and member number.
    • Need to find out your member number? Check your membership card or log-in at cascade.org and click on “My account”

Each Cascade member may only enter the lottery once, but you may enter up to four members on the same ticket. That way if one member of your group wins, you all get to go! Just make sure all lottery entrants are current Cascade members.

There is no cost to enter the tour lottery, but should you win, registration details will be sent within two days. The non-refundable deposit is due within seven days. The remaining balance fees are due June 5 (for Southern Oregon) or June 19  (for Wallowa & Hells Canyon).

The lotteries will be closing Thursday, March 6 at noon sharp, so throw your hat in the ring now!
