LUMPs: Matthews Beach Seattle to La Conner
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
LUMPs stands for Leisurely Urbane Matthewsbeach Pedalers. This is a 75 mile ride, you need to be in good shape to ride almost a century ride. This is a one-way ride from Seattle to La Conner. You need to arrange your own transportation for your return trip to Seattle.
This is a mostly rural ride to La Conner. We will start from Matthews Beach in Seattle with a warm-up northbound on the Burke Gilman Trail to Woodinville, then ride up the hill on to Maltby, thru Snohomish and on the Centennial Trail to Arlington, then to Conway and west to La Conner.
No formal lunch stop. Bring road food to eat during a pause at the downtown Park in Arlington at mile 48. There are some convenience stores along the route.
Restrooms are available at the start and many locations along the ride.
Route map at the link with RWGPS. No cue sheet is provided. If you want a cue sheet, please follow directions and print it from the RWGPS site.
Please register for the ride by signing into your Cascade account, or creating one, and then clicking on the Register button at the top of this page. That will save us some time at the ride start.
The listed phone number won't be answered on the day of the ride. If the weather on ride day meets the "Showers Cancel" criterion, I will not go to the start. In that case I'll post a ride-cancelled notice in the Comments block, below, by 6:30 AM. Please check here before leaving for Matthews Beach.
