Wally World: Snohomish to Nutty's for lunch

Enjoy an almost traffic free out and back scenic ride on the Centennial Trail from Snohomish to Arlington.  Almost all of the Centennial Trail is built on an abandoned Northern Pacific railroad bed.  Because freight trains can’t climb steep hills, the maximum grade is only 2.2%.   We will stop at Nutty’s Junkyard Grill for burgers, fish and chips, milk shakes, or whatever else you may like. Park on Maple Avenue along the trail between Pine and Lincoln.  No restrooms or water at start but you can stop for public restrooms and water in Snohomish on the south side of 1st Street at the end of Avenue B on your way to the ride.  We will stop at the Machias Station trailhead about 4 miles into the ride where restrooms and water are available.  Bring full water bottles, snacks and money for lunch.  Bring a bike lock.  It may be useful to know that Bicycle Centres of Snohomish is right beside the start location at the corner of Pine and Maple.

Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to sign the liability waiver if you didn’t register online and to hear the safety (SMART) briefing. Please register for this ride using the Register Tab above.  If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister. 

Be sure to bring a spare tube as well as the tools and knowledge to fix a flat.  If the roads are wet please have fenders with long mud flaps or plan on riding at the end of the line.

Ride Cancellation: Should conditions call for a cancellation, a cancellation notice will be posted in the comment section below at least two hours prior. If cancelled, the ride leader will not be at the start.
