Ride Description:

Be home in time for lunch after some urban exploration. Fixies and single speed bikes welcome. Always some hills. Ride leader will be riding a single speed so long as his leggies are not too tired. RWGPS route will be posted  in the comments section below 1-2 days prior to the ride.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

The ride this week will be a multi-modal event! We start at the usual location and ride to the Mt Baker light rail station where we get on the train and go to the last station, Angle Lake. There we get off the train and explore the Des Moines Creek trail before retracing our wheel turns and returning via Military Road and the Duwamish Bike Path to South Park then over Beacon Hill to return to Leschi. Here's the RWGPS route, presented as an 'event' to show the 3 segments.

Due to the train ride our overall distance and elevation gain will be a bit less than normal: 40k/24mi, 480m/1600ft.

Be sure to bring your Orca card or money for the train ride ($3 adult fare).

Seeing as how September 19 (our ride day) is 'Talk Like a Pirate Day', you should practice up on your 'Arghs' and 'Avast mateys' so you'll be prepared on ride day. To help celebrate, your ride leader will have a special gift for each rider.
