Auburn - Mud Mtn. 64
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
Join us for a ride from Auburn to Mud Mountain Dam on a 64-mile route. This is a scenic ride on mostly low-traffic roads with some climbing but nothing extreme. Enjoy the beautiful farm and ranch land of the Enumclaw plateau and Green River Valley and a stop for coffee and snacks at the Starbucks in Enumclaw.
Let's meet at the Auburn Community Center parking lot (at the end of 9th St SE) at 8:15 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 8:30 a.m.
The ride will be led at a moderate pace (14-16 mph on the flats) We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, with brief regroups at the tops of long climbs and major intersections. Faster riders are welcome but please regroup as appropriate.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 14. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Starbucks at mile 30 and another water/restroom stop at the top of Mud Mountain, mile 38. There is a final restroom (no water) stop at mile 54 if needed.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. It is not a problem to decide to not ride even if you have registered.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Bring a phone in case of major breakdown. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Hope to see you there!
