Ride Description:

This is the seventh ride of this year's nine Winter Training Series Rides hosted jointly by CBC and the Seattle Randonneurs. WTS starts January 5th and will end on March 2nd. During this nine-ride series, distances progress from about 34 miles to 100 miles. WTS is a great way to do some early season training, with a natural buildup of miles, while enjoying the company of other riders. Winter riding is tough enough - this gives you a chance to do it with friends.

This seventh ride of the WTS is a pleasant ride north along Route 9 by Big Lake and then Lake Samish with a return down Chuckanut Drive and Bayview Edison Road. There are hills at the beginning, and while the end is flat, there is sure to be wind in the flat sections.

Generally, all the Winter Training Series rides start at 9:00 AM except the last one. The 100-miler on February 24th will start at 8:00 AM. Please be at the start early enough to sign in, pump up your tires, adjust your fenders, and put all your warm clothes on. Sign-in starts at 8:30 AM, ride announcements are at 8:50 AM, and we start promptly at 9:00 AM - no waiting for those still arriving. Though there will usually be a number of ride leaders on the course, these are self-paced and self-guided rides with friendly encouragement and lots of camaraderie. THERE ARE NO REGROUPS IN THIS SERIES. For more general information about this series, please follow the link below to Introduction to WTS.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you want a cue sheet, please go to the RideWithGPS link below and print one out for yourself.  There won't be any available from the ride leaders.

All rides are rain or shine. We might shorten a route for really foul weather, but the only outright cancellation will be for snow or ice.  We may delay the start if we beleive that the conditions will be safer a bit later in the day.  CHECK THIS WEBPAGE BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME.

To save time and to make the sign-in process much easier, please register for this ride. If you already have a Cascade account make sure you are logged in and click the <Register> button at the top of the ride description, then make sure to check the box indicating you have read the Waiver & Release, add your emergency phone number and click <Save Registration> button. Don’t worry if you can’t make the ride, you don't need to unregister. If you don’t have a Cascade account, consider setting one up! It only takes a couple of minutes and won't cost you anything. If you’ve pre-registered all you need to do is check off your name at the start of the ride – no lengthy sign-in procedure.

Directions to Start: Directions to Start: From Seattle drive north on I-5. Take Exit 221. Turn left (west) across the freeway. Go 0.3 miles to a right on Fir Island Rd. Go .7 miles to turn right on Dike Road just before the bridge.  Look for parking area on left on the way to the boat launch ramp. Note: there are no restrooms there. Stop at the gas station in Conway if needed.

See you Saturday Rain or Shine!

Whats the current thought on going Saturday? I wont ride in the ice/snow but I suspect most of this will be gone by then.

It's too early to make a decision yet.  Looking at the webcams it still looks like there's plenty of snow in the area and possibly on the smaller roads we would be cycling on.  I want to ride but it makes no sense to get out there and get hurt and ruin the rest of the cycling season.  Keep checking back.  Final word will be posted Friday evening.

Ride has been canceled.  I talked with a couple of fellow cyclists who live in Skagit County.  They report there's still plenty of snow/slush/ice along side of the roads leaving us no shoulder to bail-out to.  That just isn't safe.  Let's make sure we stay good to ride another day!  Let's hope we can get the last two WTS rides in. :)

It has fully emerged to crown Singapore's southern shores and undoubtedly placed her on the global map of residential landmarks. I still scored the more points than I ever have in a season for GS. I think you would be hard pressed to find somebody with the same consistency I have had over the years so I am happy with that.

It should be noted that whilst ordering papers for sale at paper writing service, you can get unkind attitude. In case you feel that the bureau is trying to cheat you, don't buy term paper from it.

I have to search sites with relevant information on given topic and provide them to teacher our opinion and the article.    구글상위노출
