Ride Description:

What do these have in common: a troll, ghost railroad, hobbit house, dancing clowns, green dinosaurs and The Simpsons couch? They're all together in a 10-mile treasure hunt around Northwest Seattle that starts and ends at Phinney Books. After the ride, G&O Cyclery will show off one of their family bikes.

We'll ride to these locations on city streets and bike lanes. There are a couple of sections with traffic (Greenwood Avenue, Stone Way, downtown Ballard) and some stoplight crossings, and one good climb (2 blocks, to see the troll).

Want to bring your kids? See our "Information for Parents" linked below.

I've revised the route slightly to simplify the lower Fremont section and to skip downtown Ballard for a safer route up 8th Ave NW in the bike lane and across on NW 58th St, which is a neighborhood greenway. These are reflected in the RideWithGPS  map.
