Midweek Tune-Up (featuring Fisher Hill)

Fun Eastside urban loop, featuring Fisher Hill (164th) in the middle, followed by coffee at Starbucks in Factoria, a cruise through Medina up to the 520 trail, over to the Kirkland waterfront, and back to the start. There are some short choppy climbs off of West Lake Sammamish, just to break things up on the way to Fisher Hill. 

The pace will be social brisk (accommodating moderate riders with regroups). Newport/Fisher (164th) Hill gains about 800' but never gets very steep (check the profile for yourself); climb it at your own pace, the regroup point is marked on the cue sheet/RWGPS navigation.

Restroom at the start, rest stops at mile 8 (Marymoor) an optional rest stop at the mile 20 regroup (at the top of 164th), quick coffee break at about mile 24, and an optional rest stop at mile 31 (regular facilities are probably closed, but sanicans should be available) and several options along the waterfront in Kirkland.

Note the 4 hour parking limit at Juanita Beach Park; we should be back in time (barring multiple flat tires, etc.) but no guarantees so judge for yourself and park accordingly.

Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats, and a plan to get home if needed.

If roads are wet, stable fenders/flaps that extend to within 5" of the ground are recommended (you can ride with less, but you'll be responsible for staying behind everyone who has longer fenders).
