FRUMPS: Redmond -- East Hills Loop -- Woodinville -- Kirkland
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
Join us for a somewhat hilly ride through the hills of Redmond, Woodinville, and eastern Kirkland. We’ll regroup as necessary at the tops of the more significant climbs. The route includes about 500 feet on a flat, hard-packed trail.
Meet in the parking lot immediately to the west of Whole Foods in Redmond. There are bathroom facilities at the start. Lunch will be in downtown Woodinville at mile 20. The pace will be Moderate (14-16 mph) on flats and self-paced on climbs and descents, with frequent regroups.
Please bring equipment to fix a flat and know how to use it. We will try to wait for mechanicals, etc. but may not be able to wait for everything.
Please print your own cue sheet from the RideWithGPS link below if you are unfamiliar with the route. People riding slower or faster than the majority of the group will be self-guided. It is possible we will vary the route due to weather conditions or other factors. If you are new to group riding or to Cascade rides, please see “Cascade information for Newcomers” at http://www.cascade.org/welcome-newcomers .
Please register for the ride by: signing into (or creating) a Cascade account, click the Register button, click the waiver release box and complete the Emergency Contact Numbers, click on save and you are registered. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. If you are unable to attend you do not need to "un-register."
The ride leader may not be at the ride start if there are rain showers or worse (rain, snow, ice, fog, wind, etc.). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments section at least two hours prior to the scheduled ride start.
