EARTHDREAM Rides Newport Highlands
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
EAstside Ride The Hill DREAM rides are focused on developing stronger riders by training on hills or using intervals (or both :). You can ride the hills at your own pace; we will regroup at the top. EARTHDREAM rides emphasize teamwork and cooperative riding in a way that is fun and encourages each rider to develop their cycling skills.
This week's ride has a few big hills, including Highland Drive in Newport, but also has some nice flat stretches, like West Snoqualmie Valley road. Our route has quiet country roads, challenging hills, and views of Lake Washington and Lake Samammish.
Our starting location will be at Sixty Acres Park in Redmond. We will meet at the smaller parking lot on the south side of the road. The restrooms are closed for the winter, but port-o-potties are available.
We will regroup at the top of all hills, and at major turns. An effort will be made to accommodate people with a range of abilities, but riders who are significantly off the group pace should come prepared to finish the ride on their own.
