Preparing for Spring Rides #4: South Lake Washington plus Mercer Island Loop (Moderate)
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Preparing for Spring Rides is a 10-week series intended to keep our legs moving and warm throughout the winter. Our mid-ride rest stops will be brief in an effort to retain body heat. Please arrive 20 minutes before the published start time.
Preparing for Spring Rides #4 starts in The Landing parking lot southeast of Red Robin. We’ll head clockwise around south Lake Washington and ride the south loop of Mercer Island. On the east side of Lake Washington, we’ll climb a bonus warmup hill at Exit 9, stop briefly at Coulon Beach, then head back to our cars for the post-ride meal and social gathering.
Rest Stops: Mt. Baker Beach at mile point 10.4 and Coulon Beach Park at mile point 31.4
Optional Post-Ride Gathering Location: The Rock Wood Fired Kitchen, The Landing, 830 N 10th St, Renton
Please register for the ride using the red Register Now button at the top of this page. It'll save us time at the start.
If there is heavy rain, high winds, flooding, ice/snow or other unsafe riding conditions, Ride Leaders will cancel the ride. Ride cancellations will be posted in the comments section on both the Cascade and Meetup sites two hours prior to the start time. If such posting takes place, Ride Leaders will NOT be at the start. A ride may also be called at the ride start or during the ride for safety reasons. CHECK THE CASCADE OR MEETUP WEBPAGE BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME.
