Event has already happened.
Please join us for fun ride around south Seattle. We will enjoy the water (and hopefully mountain) views along Lake Washington Boulevard, greenery and fall colors surrounding Cheasty Greenbelt, and most importantly PASTRIES! Today's destination is Macrina Bakery in SODO. And as a special treat, we will visit the SoDo Track, a public art space before our food stop.
Pace: Please note, we will ride within the posted pace on the flats with an equivalent effort up hills. If you plan to ride faster or slower, please come prepared to ride on your own so that each pace group does not have long wait times.
Regroups/Mechanicals: This will be a social ride with regroups at the top of bigger hills and at all critical turns along the way. We'll also enjoy some opportunities for photos at nice viewpoints. Please come prepared with the necessary equipment you may need to take care of flats or other mechanical problems. A cue sheet is available for you to print and is good to have in case you happen to get separated from the group.
Rest Stops: There are restrooms at the start.
Requirements: Please make sure to arrive in time for our safety brief (and sign the ride waiver). As is required with all Cascade rides, please ensure you wear a helmet. Come prepared with gear that is comfortable and appropriate for the distance/elevation/weather conditions.
RSVP: Please RSVP early (e-waiver just below the ride title if you are signed into Cascade.org) or via Meetup, so we can plan for the appropriate number of Ride Leaders.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of a weather cancellation, a notice will be posted in the comments on this page at least two hours before the ride and the ride leaders will not be at the ride start location.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
