A Leisurely Ride and Bike Town Hall Meeting with Rep. Larsen
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Come join us for a trail ride with Rep. Larsen to and from a Town Hall Meeting at Mountlake Terrace Senior Center.
This is a wonderful opportunity to share your joys and concerns regarding biking in parts of Snohomish County with Rick Larsen, our Second Congressional District Representative of WA state.
We will meet at Lynnwood Park N Ride. Have your bike ready for the Safety Briefing that will begin at 9:50 a.m., and we will depart for the Town Hall Meeting at 10 a.m.
We will ride on the Interurban Trail and explore the new extension Lakeview Trail. For the more adventurous, we will ride up the Lakeview Trail hill to the freeway and back prior to the meeting. We should arrive at the senior center around 10:30 a.m. The meeting is expected to last about one hour and the conversation will focus on safe routes to schools and the expanding bike network in South Snohomish County. We will stay for the meeting, then ride back to the Lynnwood Park N Ride via the Interurban trail with a small detour to ride along Lake Ballinger before we head back.
As in all free daily rides, you are required to have a properly operating bicycle, a helmet, tools, spare, and the ability to fix your own flat, and arrive in time to listen to the safety briefing or S.M.A.R.T. talk.
