Bastille Day a Day Early
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Come celebrate Bastille Day with a ride to one of the best French bakeries in the city. We will ride from the Leschi Starbucks to West Seattle to visit Bakery Nouveau, where they have sandwiches, viennoiseries (croissants, brioches), coffee, and fabulous deserts, so you can have a snack, lunch, or stuff yourself. We will celebrate a day early in order to better allow the ride to serve as a warm-up for riders who are anticipating a longer ride on Saturday (STP, SIR 200K, etc.) and who want to carb up with French pastry! This will also allow us to be home on July 14th to watch the Tour when the riders will celebrate by starting in Montpellier and riding up Ventoux. We will ride at a low Moderate pace to maximize accessibility and serve as a suitable warm up for the longer weekend rides.
Route: Starting in Leschi we’ll head through the bike tunnel, across to West Seattle, around Alki Point to Lincoln Park, and then north for a short climb up to the Bakery Nouveau. We will follow with a quick descent to the West Seattle Bridge and return via the waterfront, the ID, and the bike tunnel.
Bathrooms: At the start, at Mile 8 if needed, and at Bakery Nouveau Mile 17.
