She Bikes rides are woman friendly, but anyone is welcome to join. Join me on what is historically the most likely day of the year to get rained on. The weather will determine the length of the ride -- if it's raining hard we'll just go one mile to a coffee shop or pub with indoor seating. If it's drizzle, we'll ride neighborhood streets and some of the Interurban Trail North, not going too far from our starting point in case of a real downpour. If it's nice weather, we'll head down into Mill Creek and have lunch at Central Market. We'll spend some time talking strategies and gear for successful riding in the rain.
Your bike should have fenders, and you should have tools and a spare tube in case of a flat. Come early for the safety briefing -- we'll roll promptly at 11am.
If it's snowy, icy, or if there is a windstorm, I'll post a cancellation notice here by 9:00 am. Feel free to call me at 425-238-4045 for updates that morning.
DIRECTIONS TO START: From I-5 just north of Lynnwood, take the 164th St. SW exit and turn onto 164th heading east towards Mill Creek. Turn left (north) at the 2nd traffic light after the freeway, at Meadow Road. Turn right at 146th St SW, and the park will be on your right just past 4th Ave. W.
