We’re on the brink of completing the East Lake Sammamish Trail...But we need your help!

The East Lake Sammamish Trail is part of the 44-mile regional trail system connecting Seattle to Snoqualmie — but it’s more than a regional connector; it’s a local amenity and community investment. Completing the trail to national standards will allow people of all ages and abilities to use the trail — whether on foot, by bike, with a stroller or a wheelchair.

Check out this video about why completing the East Lake Sammamish Trail matters to community members and why it’s one of Cascade’s top priorities in East King County:

Trail development has been slowed for years by lawsuits, which have cost time and public money. We are committed to seeing the project through. A trail built to national standards in its entirety means this public amenity can be enjoyed by users of all ages and abilities. To end delays, the city of Sammamish needs to hear from Sammamish residents and trail users. Please join us today at the Tuesday, Oct. 18 council meeting and let council members know why the trail matters to you!

You can also join the conversation about the East Lake Sammamish Trail at the Friends of Eastlake Sammamish Facebook page, and Cascade’s Connect Eastside Facebook group.
