Sound Transit increases bike capacity on buses

Sound Transit today announced that over the coming two years, Sound Transit will upgrade almost all buses to feature three-position bike racks.

"This has been an issue particularly for our bicycle-riding customers that ride north into Snohomish County, and Community Transit recently agreed to allow three-position bicycles on the buses they operate for Sound Transit," Sound Transit stated.

All Sound Transit buses operated by Community Transit in Snohomish County will have three-position racks installed over the next few months. Most remaining buses with two-position bike racks at King County Metro Transit and Pierce Transit will be replaced over the next two years with three-position bike racks.
