Ride around South of Seattle (& Bakery Stop)
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
Please join us for a steady-paced 32-mile ride around South of Seattle. The ride starts at Woodland Park (by baseball field, northwest corner of N 50th St & Green Lake Way/Stone Way N intersection). We will explore the neighborhoods south of I-90. We will use both trails and city streets.
At approx 21 miles we will stop at Despi Delite Bakery for regular donuts and Filipino desserts. Please bring cash for them because they will charge 50 cents on your credit card if sale is less than $10 (but if you are like me, no problem spending $10 on their yummies!).
This route will take you up and down unavoidable hills of Seattle and it maybe too hilly for some steady riders. We will regroup at the top of every hill for a reasonable amount of time, but if you can't keep up the pace, it will become self-paced. Please check out the map and elevation gain prior to the ride.
Hydration prior to and during the ride is recommended. Please bring a bottle of water and some snacks. We will stop at a park along the way to refill bottles as necessary.
Bathroom is available at Green Lake Small Craft Center at the start of the ride.
Ride also posted on Meetup.com. Any updates on the route will be posted on Meetup. Meetup RSVP is much appreciated.
