California’s Sonoma Wine Country & Coast Tour Sojourn Bicycling & Active Vacations (a $2,200.00 value)
This extraordinary bike tour combines the best of California’s world-famous wine country and the stunning coast. Cycling routes wind through vineyards, pass by groves of redwood trees, and along the coast offering exceptional views throughout. Stay in luxurious country inns including an exceptional coastal lodge and spa. Enjoy a private dinner hosted by a respected local winery and several private winery tours, tastings, and picnics.
Marvel at the majesty of towering redwoods during a spin below their cathedral-like canopy. Enjoy a breathtaking bike ride down the coast with stunning ocean views as your constant companion. Fragrant eucalyptus groves and sprawling farmland form the backdrop for one of California's best kept secrets for exceptional cycling. Lush vineyards climb the hillsides that form the Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River Valleys.
The trip is suitable for all levels of cyclists with a variety of routes and terrain. Daily mileage ranges from 25 to 45 with numerous options for challenging mileage including a route that’s one of the classic climbs of the Amgen Tour of California. Base routes consist of rolling terrain. The tour is guided throughout by seasoned professionals and includes full van support.
The tour begins and ends in the heart of the wine country in Healdsburg, California. Sojourn provides a group transfer between the airport Santa Rosa and the Madrona Manor in Healdsburg at the start and end of the tour. All meals are included except for one dinner and two lunches.
