Cascade Bicycle Club will be giving a free 1-hour talk on how to continue or begin a bike commute during our glorious winter months.
You’ll learn:
• What kind of clothing combinations work best for rain and cold
• Keeping your cargo dry and safe
• The safest lighting/reflectivity strategies for your commute route
• The best tire and brake selections for rainy conditions
• Fender options and mounting techniques
• Wet-weather riding skills and traffic considerations
• The “Hybrid Commute”
Chris Cameron is the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation’s bicycle commuter specialist. He has taught thousands of Seattleites how to begin bicycle commuting as well as tuned seasoned bike commuters’ skills to make the commute even more enjoyable on a year-round basis.
Class will be held in downtown Seattle at the Triad Center, 701 3rd Avenue, on Monday, December 10. Class time is 12 noon to 1pm.
