Roll into the holiday spirit with ease this weekend.  These two rides will give you an opportunity to get in a few miles at a slower pace than the rest of the holiday season seems to rush at.

On Friday, Dec. 21, join Serena for a 5:30 p.m. ride out of Gas Works Park.  This Winter Solstice ride marks the turning point as we head toward those long gorgeous days of summer. You’ll ride on mostly flat terrain for 10 to 15 miles… if it’s not raining. Come out with Serena and help us light up the night!

If that ride whets your appetite, satiate it with a rolling ride to the U-District Farmers Market for a handmade dessert and perhaps a little last minute holiday shopping.  In fact, you can fill your bike basket with all sorts of produce and unique goodies.  Renee will gather the cheerful for an easy-paced 10 to 12 mile ride on Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Lake City Library. Arrive a few minutes early for a 10 a.m. departure… if it’s not raining.

Looking for more riding opportunities? All Cascade free daily rides are published online. Everyone is welcome, but if you’re new, please read through our information for newcomers and parents.
