I am a 24-year old bike-enthusiast with a love for all things human and a focus on education. Myfascination for human beings was increased and fulfilled by completing a bachelors degree in Anthropology at the UW. School led me into a year-long position as a GED instructor and poetry teacher at the King County Jail. There I learned, among many other things, that education would always be a huge part of my life. I was introduced to bicycles at the age of four, but did not encounter the full potential of 2-wheeled transportation until the age of 17. One sunny afternoon I took a chance at riding across Marysville, my home town, to my retail job. Having arrived swiftly and safely, I realized what was possible with only a bike and a little ambition. I've been exploring those possibilities ever since, and have recently begun sharing them with South Seattle youth as a member of the Major Taylor Project.
