Advocacy

Cascade’s policy team advocates for safe and connected bike networks where people who bike, walk and roll are often sharing the road with heavy vehicle traffic. Cascade is leading the effort by working with city transportation experts and elected officials; partnering with other safe streets groups; organizing neighbors and local advocates and working with large and small businesses. There are many partnership and sponsor opportunities needing your support!

Community

Cascade offers hundreds of “Free Group Rides” 365 days of the year! Find a ride that suits your style and location. Cascade's popular “Presentation Series” features bicycle travelers, top cycling athletes, coaches, and bicycle-related authors. Additionally Cascade organizes major “Signature Ride Events” and offers a seasonal schedule beginning in February - October each year. Check out our calendar of daily rides or our list of upcoming events & event registration schedule.

Education

Education builds knowledge, skills, confidence and community. Cascade offers adult and youth safety, learn to ride, maintenance, and commute classes for riders of all ages and abilities. School-Based Programs like Let’s Go provides physical education teachers with the resources to implement an in-school bicycle and pedestrian safety program. Our year-round, after-school program, Major Taylor Project, fosters leadership and focuses on creating an inclusive culture of bicycling.

As a member based non-profit Cascade represents a diverse range of bicyclists in statewide communities. Cascade’s goal is to support these communities with three main pillars - Advocacy, Community and Education. These pillars are key aspects of our work to ensure that all Washingtonians have access to safe bicycling infrastructures. “Organizational Partnership” support all three of these pillars and focus on Cascade’s mission to Improve Lives Through Bicycling. We see this strategy as a way to ensure longstanding and authentic partnerships between the Cascade community and partners.
