Queen Anne & Madison Park
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
Join us for a 21.2 mile, 1,500' elevation gain ride as we bike through the neighborhoods of Queen Anne, Pioneer Square, International District, Leschi, Madison Park and Capitol Hill. Along the way, we will visit David Rodgers Park, the International Fountain in Seattle Center, Myrtle-Edwards Park, the Daejeon Pagoda, Denny-Blaine Park, Secret Beach, Madison Park Beach, Beaver Lodge Sanctuary, Interlaken Park, and have a couple of stops for viewpoints. There will be a few short sections of dirt trail. We will also have a few short, steep climbs including a paved walking path in David Rodgers Park (28% grade-which people can either bike or walk), Highland Ave (the 15th steepest street in Seattle), and an optional climb up E. Roy (26% grade and the steepest paved street in Seattle). Those not wanting to do the optional climb will get a short rest break while this climb is being done. We will re-group on the top of all significant climbs.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Nickerson Street Saloon for food, drinks and socializing for those interested.
