WRUMPS--Taking the High Road around Lake Sammamish

Join us for a ride from Beaver Lake Park in Sammamish on a 36.2 mile route at moderate pace (14-16 mph)!

This ride follows pleasant Sammamish roads down from the plateau to Lake Sammamish, tours around the bottom of the lake, and gently climbs the Lake Hills area of Bellevue before descending into Redmond for our bakery break. We will travel along the east side of the lake, then climb Louis Thompson Road to return to Beaver Lake.

We will meet at Beaver Lake Park at 8:40 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 9:00 am.  Please note there are two parking lots, and we will meet at the lot off SE 24th St by the Lodge at Beaver Lake. (If you see baseball fields you are at the wrong lot). 

Restrooms and water are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 16. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks/lunch at Hoffman's Fine Cakes and Pastries at mile 25. 

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
