WOMEN'S RIDE - Redmond to Bellevue
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
This ride is for Women Only! If you are looking for a welcoming group of women who are here to encourage each other while having fun and developing new friendships then this is the group for you! Your ride leader, Juli Zalud, is a Trek Women's Advocate and invites all women to experience the fun of getting out on your bike with other like-minded women, get in some exercise and good conversation, while enjoying the day with other ladies who share the passion of cycling. This is a group ride for the women who are looking for a positive, fun, encouraging group to be a part of. If it's your first group ride, we welcome you and look forward to meeting you! You can do this! This is a no-drop ride, you will not be left behind.
RSVP: Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page to save time at ride start. Please register at least 2 hours prior to the ride. You can always register at the ride start if you miss the cut-off. If you sign up using e-waiver but decide not to ride, no worries, and we'll see you next time.
START TIME: Be ready to roll 10 minutes prior to the start time as we will have our safety briefing and will leave promptly at the posted time. Attendance at the safety briefing is mandatory.
PACE: Pace is approx 14-16mph on the flats and at your own pace up hills. We will regroup at the top of hills. When using designated bicycle trails we will observe the posted speed limit.
START LOCATION & PARKING: Ride starts at Trek Bicycle Redmond. Street parking is available on Gilman Street and is free on weekends. Additional free weekend parking is available at Redmond Central Connector Park located at 7541 Leary Way NE which is approximately 2 blocks from Trek Bicycle. Restrooms and water is available at Trek Bicycle.
ROUTE: See link below for a RideWithGPS downloadable route map with printable cue sheet. If you want a cue sheet, please print one using the route link as copies will not be available at the ride start.
PLANNED STOPS: There will be no stops on this ride. We will gather after the ride to socialize at the Trek Bicycle store where we will be treated to coffee and a treat.
MECHANIICALS: Group will stop for flats. Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats, and a plan ie: Orca card, a friend or Uber for rescue should you have a serious mechanical failure.
REQUIRED: As is required with all Cascade rides, please ensure you wear a helmet and come prepared with water bottles and gear that is comfortable and appropriate for the distance/elevation. Mirrors and lights are highly recommended by the ride leader.
RIDE CANCELLATION: In the event of a weather cancellation a notice will be posted in the comments on this page at least two hours before the ride start and ride leader will not be at the ride start location.
