Come join me for a mornng ride to Black Diamond. A friendly ride out to Black Diamond with a midpoint break for lunch at the Black Diamond Bakery. The ride features some light climbing for your lunch in the first part of the ride which is followed by a mostly downhill second half as we return through Covington. We will eat in the dining room with a panoramic view of Mt Rainier (weather permitting).
We will ride at a moderate pace, 14-16 mph on flat terrain with no wind. We climb at our own pace and wait for the group at the top. . Please make sure that you bring a spare tube and water call me with any questions.
Cancellation Policy: Steady rain cancels. In the event of damp weather use of fenders/mudflaps is appreciated, especially by the riders behind you. If the ride is cancelled due to weather, it will be posted here in the comments section by 8 a.m. The ride leader will not be at the start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
