Ride Description:

Time to take a break from the good old Red Barn Loop, just because.  So let's go in the other direction.  We'll take the Snoqualmie Valley Trail to Rattlesnake Lake and back.  The surface is mostly packed gravel, with a stretch of pavement between the Tokul Road underpass and the Snoqualmie River trail bridge that is a tad over 2 miles each way.  Bring a bike with at least 700x28 tires--a hybrid, cross-bike, or mountain bike all will work.  I'll be on a cross-bike with 700x40s tires.

Directions to the start: From Seattle take I-90 to Exit 22 for Preston. Turn left at the top of the ramp, then right at the next intersection. Continue to Fall City. Bear right at the T in Fall City to cross the Snoqualmie River. Go around the traffic circle onto northbound State Route 203 toward Duvall and Monroe. Make an immediate left onto Neal Road, across from the Fall City Bistro, and into the gravel lot at Fall City Community Park.  It can be a long way to Fall City, so plan your trip.  Please be at the start and ready to ride by 15 minutes prior so we can have the safety talk and be on our way.

There are porta-pots but no water at the start, and restrooms and water at the Cedar River Watershed Education Center at Rattlesnake Lake.  There's no lunch stop, so carry water and food for this distance.

A Ride With GPS route map and cue sheet are at the link.  If you want a cue sheet, please print one.  Bring spare tube, pump, patch kit, tools, and skills to repair flats, and have a cell phone and plan for rescue should your bike fail.

Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page.  Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the contact information, and click on Save.

The listed phone number won't be answered on the morning of the ride.  If the weather meets the showers-cancel threshold, I will post a cancellation notice in the Comments block below at least 2 hours prior and not go to the start.
