Free Group Ride
South End Themed Ride #3 (Moderate Pace)
Event has already happened.
Join us for a series of fun, educational and picturesque rides. Depending on the route, it might be to a historical site or just a ride to a hamburger joint. We plan on taking time for pictures and enjoying the scenery.
These rides will be in the South King and Pierce counties and will vary in miles and elevation.
Paces offered -- steady (12 – 14 mph on flats), moderate (14 – 16 mph on flats). Brisk may be offered depending on Ride Leader availability. Pace groups will use a common route each week.

Today’s Theme - History and Views: Leaving Sumner we are headed for Steilacoom. We make our way through Tacoma passing by Stadium High School, the Narrows Bridge and Chambers Bay golf course. Once in Steilacom we will have views of Anderson and McNiel Islands along with the old 1938 ferry Olympic moored at Ketron Island off in the distance. We'll stop for coffee and quick bite to eat at a local coffee shop before returning by PLU and the Puyallup area.
This route does include rolling hills and some climbing.
