Event has already happened.
This ride starts at the Newport Park and Ride Exit 9 off 405. We will use the Lake Wash. Bike trail across to Mercer Island. We will do the perimeter of Mercer Island clockwise and return to the P &R the same way we came.
Bathrooms/water are NOT available at the start. If one is necessary we can coast into Newcastle Beach Park, but otherwise we will stop at the top end of the loop on the NW side of the trail before heading back to Newport Hills.
The pace will be moderate, easy on the hills, with frequent regroups. Come and enjoy a fun, mild mannered ride around the island. :-)!
Showers or other inclement weather will cancel this ride. If the ride is cancelled, notice will be posted in the comments section below by 4:00 pm. If the ride is not cancelled by 4:00 pm but the weather worsens, we will cancel at the ride start.
What to Know Before You Go
- Advance registration required. Cancel if unable to attend, to open space for others.
- Must be present at safety briefing to participate.
- Helmets required.
