CTS Rides Again #2 - Two Points & a Levee Red Group (Leisurely)
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
CTS Rides Again is a series of five Sunday rides and this is the July 20th ride, this follows the conclusion of 2014 CTS series to help riders prepare for the RSVP, RAW and other challenging rides. This is the second ride of the series. Red Group riders should be prepared to comfortably and successfully ride about 70 miles today. This is to maintain your fitness level that you have akreadt acheived riding the CTS Series of rides during the late spring and early summer. This should not be the first ride of the season for any red group rider. If you just completed the STP, this should be a fun continuation of your riding program and if you are doing RSVP it will help maintain your riding fitness for RSVP or any other upcoming ride.
These are part of the club’s Free Daily Rides program and are open to anyone. Join us for one, or two rides, or be a real trooper and ride all five. You decide what works for you. We will try to have two or three ride leaders per pace so it is very important that you RSVP on MEETUP at least two days prior to each ride. This will allow us to secure additional ride leaders if a large number of riders wish to ride at a particular pace.
These rides are not supported. We will provide short rest stops along the route, but please come prepared with your own food and beverages. Please email the Ride Director with any questions/concerns.
TODAY'S RIDE: We will be starting at Renton City Hall and head out to West Valley highway for 15 miles. Then head up the largest climb of the ride at Peasley Canyon. We will make our first stop at the Steel Lake Annex before continuing into Federal Way, Des Moines and Tacoma. The ride continues into Puyallup and Sumner where we will take a longer break at Starbucks before finishing up with a relaxing ride back on the Interurban Trail into Renton

It is very helpful if you RSVP on MEETUP at least two days prior to each ride. This will allow us to secure additional ride leaders if a large number of riders wish to ride at a particular pace. This will also allow you to get updates if there is a possible cancellation and for group communications.

As customary for all Cascade rides, please make sure you wear a helmet and have necessary gear and knowledge to fix any flats you might get along the way. The group will not stop for flats or mechanicals, but our sweeps will ensure you have a cue sheet to continue the ride.
