MORE Hills In N Seattle
If you are new, please read our newcomer information.
Please join us for a MORE Hills ride! Midweek Outdoor Riding in Evening is a weekly ride of about 20 miles with a few hills. It is a perfect way to add a little training for otherwise weekend riders without spending too much time. And it’s a great way to enjoy the long day of Pacific Northwest! Don’t go to an indoor spinning class! Instead, ride with us!
The start locations will be in North Seattle (Lower Woodland Park, Matthews Beach, View Ridge, etc.). We will ride on urban Seattle/Shoreline streets as well as some trails. Because of unavoidable traffic lights, we will keep a steady pace, but you will make it up with a few hills to climb. We will regroup at top of every hill for a reasonable time, but if you are too fast/slow for the majority, it will become self-paced. It’s nice to bring your own cue sheet. Please pack water, snack, and tools/tubes to fix a flat as always. Even though the majority of ride will be in daylight, please have your lights (both front and back) just in case.
This week's MORE Hills ride starts at Lower Woodland Park. We will do an urban/city ride through Eastlake and South Lake Union neighborhoods in the first half of the route. We will then head to Interlaken/Montlake neighborhoods via N Capitol Hill. We ride through green belt of Interlaken Blvd, Arboretum, then behind UW Husky Stadium back to the start.
This route was cancelled due to rain on 4/16. Let's hope we can ride this time!
