Ariana Rundquist

Wheels: Faraday Cortland, electric bike, stingray blue

Commute: 8.2 miles from Shoreline, WA

Favorite ride: Tour du Lac d’Annecy in France and anywhere near water

Having searched all her life for somewhere that’s green, Ariana is so happy she finally found her way to Seattle and the breathtaking Pacific Northwest. She loves podcasts, astronomy and the national parks system.

Ariana is the oldest (but not tallest) of five siblings. Her early years were spent in the Mojave desert of southern California and the high desert of central Utah. After completing a B.S. in Horticulture from Utah State University, Ariana spent a year living overseas in East and Southeast Asia. She developed a profound appreciation for the diversity and complexity of human experience, and survived her most terrifying (and invigorating) bicycle ride to date: standing on the back of a tiny folding bike through rush hour traffic in Yangling, Shaanxi province, China. Ariana returned stateside to the bicycling haven of Davis, California, where she gave up her car, purchased a bicycle and completed an M.S. in International Agricultural Development.

Voice classes and a chance meeting launched Ariana into the non-profit realm, where she discovered a passion for helping community-based organizations expand their mission and reach via technological solutions. She is driven to transform online interaction into human connection, and she is thrilled for the opportunity to work with Cascade Bicycle Club.
