Let's meet at the Auburn Library parking lot (park away from the Library entrance) and roll out at 9:00 for a 32 mile moderate paced ride to the Black Diamond Bakery and back. The route takes us quickly out of town and up the climb of Auburn/Black Diamond Rd, then through the residential roads along Lake Morton to Covington-Lake Sawyer Rd. and down into Black Diamond. We'll stop at the Black Diamond Bakery for beverages and snacks. We'll return along a short section of Rt.169 then ride the full length of Green Valley Rd. back to Auburn.
Regroups at the top/bottom of long climbs and descents and at intersections as needed. Restrooms at the start (Les Gove Park), Lake Morton (mile 10), the BD Bakery (mile 16) and at Green Valley Meats (mile 28)
Please arrive at the start 20 minutes early so you have time to ready your bike, sign the ride waiver, and listen to the SMART safety talk.
If ride is cancelled due to weather it will be posted here in comments by 7:00am and ride leader will not be waiting at the start.
Come prepared to fix flats and have a plan for dealing with mechanical issues. Please take the time to make sure your bike is in good working order.
Cue sheet: See Route Link. Cue sheets will not be provided, please print one if desired. Send me an email if you have any questions about the ride.
Please register for the ride by clicking on the Register Now button at the top of the page. You need to be signed in to your Cascade account to do this. If you don't have an account, come anyway and sign the waiver the start.
