Bike friendly business spotlight: Adobe

We’re fortunate in our work to be able to partner with so many bike friendly businesses. Our Bike Month Challenge presenting sponsors at Adobe are a great example. Adobe has been supporting Bike Month since 1996, and they’re a great local advocate for cycling.

Adobe encourages their employees to commute by bike year-round with strong internal incentives and resources for bicycle commuters including covered bike parking, an onsite bike repair area, locker rooms with towel service and monthly commuter rewards.

On F5 Bike to Work Day they made an extra push, with approximately 50 employees (10 percent of total commuters) bicycling to work.

To encourage and reward them, Adobe hosts a special Bike to Work Day lunch. This year approximately 40 employees attended to hear more about the city’s Vision Zero plan and the challenges and successes of improving infrastructure from Seattle Department of Transportation's Dongho Chang.

One of Adobe’s core values is being actively engaged with the communities they serve. As part of this, Adobe works hard to reduce its impact on the environment by promoting cleaner modes of transit for its workers. Riding to work is an important part of that (along with carpooling, vanpooling, support for electric vehicles and transit passes).

“It was great to see newer riders participating. These new riders were very appreciative of the Bike to Work Day activities and Cascade commuter class earlier in the month,” said Demian Godon, engineering manager at Adobe.
