Take a moment to close your eyes and imagine the future biking in the Puget Sound Region. What do you imagine?

Maybe you imagine hundreds of children biking to school. Or how about a riding along a neighborhood greenway with your grandmother on a sunny Sunday morning? Or perhaps you envision being able to traverse Downtown Seattle without ever having to leave a protected bike lane.

Whatever is that you imagine, the future is in your hands. You have the power to make your neighborhood and city better for biking and safer for everyone and Advocacy Leadership Institute will help you channel that power.

Apply Today!

This nationally recognized free training takes place over eight weeks, where you will meet awesome guest speakers, learn how to craft campaign plans with creative tactics and carry with you the skills to change your neighborhood for the better.

Graduates of our program have gone on to start groups like the West Seattle Bike Connections, organize group rides like Critical Lass and make awesome videos like this one on the Ballard Bridge, just to mention a few!

We begin the class with a Sunday retreat out at the Cascade Bicycle Club office in Magnuson park where we will get to know each other better, hear from some of our Alumni on a panel and start to develop our personal stories. The rest of the trainings will have a specific focus where we will hear from guest speakers, discuss interesting articles and scheme about potential tactics to turn our visions into reality. An exciting addition to the Spring 2015 course is a class on social justice and equity in the bike movement!
