For one day a year, we bust out the picnic gear and throw a massive bike party! With exciting local racing, a beer garden, vendor booths, food stands, kids’ activities and the rebroadcasting of the Tour de France’s mountain-top finish on an outdoor big screen, this is a summer party not to be missed.

Before we settle in to watch Tour de France, local racers will be competing in the Thursday Night Bike Races in the park. These short, fast-paced criterium races will feature men categories 1 through 4 as well as a women’s only race.

While the racers are going in circles, you can browse the vendor booths, take the kids to play at the art table and Wheelie Fun Course, relax with a picnic in the grass or catch up with friends over frothy Schooner Exact Brewery beverage in the beer garden.

As the sun goes down, all eyes will be on a giant, inflatable screen as the world's best male cyclists compete for a Tour de France stage win in the mountains.

We'll also be selling drawing tickets for a chance to win a top-of-the-line Raleigh bicycle, RSVP passes, Ortlieb messenger bag p as well as other prizes and instant giveaways! So grab your friends, your family, and your picnic basket, and ride out to Seward Park on Thursday, July 18 for what's sure to be the cycling event of the summer.

Schedule:

- From 4 until 7 p.m.: enjoy expanded family-friendly activities such as a scavenger hunt , bike art and more!
- Exciting local racing will take place from  5:30 until 9 p.m. Race categories include Cat 1 through 4 men's races plus a women’s race at 7:15 p.m.
- At dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.) we'll settle down to watch  Tour de France’s Stage 18 mountain top finish on the 20-foot-wide big screen.
- Enjoy a frothy Schooner Exact Brewery beverage (or wine) in the massive beer garden with hundreds of your fellow race fans.
- Eat at our food booth or bring your own picnic-it’s a special night under the stars.
- Browse at our vendor booths for cool stuff.
- Purchase a drawing ticket for a chance to win a top-of-the-line Raleigh bicycle, RSVP passes, Ortlieb messenger bag plus other prizes and instant giveaways!
