Not Your Typical Black Friday

When "talking bike" early in the year, you often hear people say they are going to do their first century this year.  And what a thrill we know that is as we each reflect on our first century ride.  But, a Century of Rides led in 2012?  WOW!   Ride Leader Alan Lawrence chose Friday, Nov. 23 to lead his 100th Cascade daily ride of 2012, and he was joined by a posse of fellow Ride Leaders and more, for the rainy ride from Tukwila to Alki.

Throughout the year, Alan posted moderate and brisk-paced rides.  He led rides around Mercer Island and out to May Valley.  There was a "meander" here and a "training" there.  Mornings, evenings, weekdays and weekends, if you looked at the daily rides listing, Alan Lawrence was there!

While shoppers were conspiring to get the best Black Friday deals, some of Alan's friends and fellow ride leaders conspired to pull off a pre-ride breakfast celebration.

Congratulations Alan, and thank you for two-wheeled inspiration all year long. Keep 'em coming!
