Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there a rider limit, will the event sell out?
A:  No, there is not a rider limit and there will be day of event registration at the start lines.  However, you can save money by pre-registering online. Packets will be available at the start line chosen during registration.

Q:  Is there parking at the start line in Edmonds and is it free?
A:  No reserved parking; only street parking (free) and ferry terminal parking (fee).

Q:  Does my registration include a return ferry trip?
A:  All bikes and passengers traveling east-bound (return) on the ferries are free.

Q:  What does my registration fee include?
A:  Your registration includes your bib number, two food stops, route map, emergency services, (plus a ferry trip, if you register to start in Edmonds) and a lot of fun.

Q:  How will I know where to go?
A:  The route will be marked with directional arrows (Dan Henry's) and you will also receive a map at the start line.

Q:  If we are on a tandem do we have to register both people?
A:  Yes, each rider must complete a registration form including the waiver. This way both riders will have access to all services.

Q:  What if I want to change the start line (Edmonds or Kingston) after I register?
A:  Your rider packet will be waiting for you at the start line chosen during registration. If Kingston was chosen and you will be starting at Edmonds, purchase a ferry ticket and pick up your packet in Kingston.

A:  Cyclists must turn off and put away any headset or ear bud(s) connected to any electronic device capable of transmitting or playing a broadcast or recording. Distractions such as music players and radios are also not permitted. If necessary to check, use, or answer a cell phone or pager, the cyclist must first pull completely off the road or trail and stop.

Q: Does Cascade offer any services to help me train?
A: Cascade Bicycle Club offers an extensive Free Group Rides program that can help you get ready for KCC. You can design your own personal training program by selecting the daily rides that fit your schedule and ability.
