Join hundreds of Washington community leaders, bicycle advocates, and bicycling enthusiasts at the annual Kaiser Permanente Bike Everywhere Breakfast benefitting Cascade Bicycle Club. With your support, we will work to build the cities, education opportunities, and trails that create a healthier, more equitable, and sustainable future.
The theme for our annual fundraising breakfast is “Building a Bikeable Future.” The historic Move Ahead Washington transportation funding package approved in 2022 has allocated an unprecedented $1.3 billion for biking and walking infrastructure and programs. Now it’s time to put this money to work across our state to connect our communities and neighborhoods – and begin the transition from a car-dependent society to one that enables people to bike and walk safely wherever they want to go. Part of that important transition involves educating our youth to become lifelong bike riders.
Donations of any size have a huge impact on Cascade's work. Suggested minimum donation is $150.
Speakers
Our Keynote address will be made by Dongho Chang! As State Traffic Engineer for WSDOT, Dongho Chang is one of the most influential voices in Washington state when it comes to the safety of people bicycling and walking. Seattle Bike Blog calls him "a true believer in Vision Zero" who "revolutionized what it means to be a traffic engineer."
Additionally, Executive Director Lee Lambert will take the podium to speak about Cascade’s and the bicycling community’s big wins of the past year, and look ahead to the priorities we will pursue in 2023 and beyond.
Cascade in the Community
As a member-based nonprofit Cascade represents a diverse range of bicyclists in statewide communities. Cascade’s goal is to support these communities with three main pillars: Advocacy, Community, and Education. These pillars are key aspects of our work to ensure that all Washingtonians have access to safe places to bike, walk, and roll. When your organization joins us in an organizational partnership, you support all three of these pillars and further Cascade’s mission. We teach the joys of bicycling, advocate for safe places to ride, connect the community, and produce world-class rides and events. We see this strategy as a way to ensure longstanding and authentic partnerships between the Cascade community and partners.
