Event has already happened.
A rural scenic route from Renton to Maple Valley then Tiger Mountain. This route has 2 challenging climbs and other more moderate hills in between. We'll ride at 16 mph on flat terrain and self pace up hills. We will use Jones Rd outbound and returning to minimize time on the Cedar River trail which has a speed limit of 10 mph within the Renton city limits. The majority of the elevation gain is in the middle half of the route. There will be a rest stop at approx mile 25 with an espresso stand and mini mart for purchase of drinks and snacks. Restroom available at start. Please arrive and have you and your bike ready to hear safety briefing at 9:15 so we can depart promptly at 9:30. In event of inclement weather as defined above the ride leader may not be at the start but will post a cancellation notice in the comments section of this posting by 7:30 am. What to Know Before You Go
