Ride Description:

The Alki extravaganza rides are multiple start point and multiple pace rides meeting at Gasworks Park and riding to Alki.  Ride with us on a relaxed morning group ride to Alki.

We will be starting out  at the Newport Hills Park & Ride, making a quick restroom stop prior to crossing the I-90 bridge and meeting the rest of our group at Gasworks Park for the scenic ride along Elliott Bay and the Seattle waterfront. We will take a break at the Alki Tully’s  before heading back.  Join us for a morning ride, a chance to meet some fellow cyclists with coffee and pastry thrown in.

Pace of this ride is flat road with no wind, if there is a headwind pace may be slower and if there is a tailwind pace may be faster. Pace on trails will not exceed posted speed limit. Due to our scheduled meeting with other groups ride will start promptly please arrive in time to ready your bike and attend the safety briefing. Mentoring avialable with advance notice.

Comments

This posting is for the _Steady_ version of this ride (that means 12-14mph on the flats)...the body of this description (unless it's been corrected) says "Moderate", but that was a copy & paste error when the ride was submitted.

Although, there will ALSO be a Moderate version of the ride with the same starting/end points (with a different ride leader) - see http://www.cascade.org/node/18918 for details on that one (which will look amazingly similar to this ride :)).
