Ride Description:
Join us for social oriented ride in the pastoral and bucolic Snoqualmie River Valley (along with the Tolt River and Tokul Creek) which will start in Carnation. We'll head southward through the river valley (watching for seasonal holiday aquatic trolls), cross the river by Fall City, and turn around by the mouth of Tokul Creek (as it enters the Snoqualmie River just below the Falls). We will return back up the Falls City Issaquah Road before returning the river valley for the run back to Carnation. While largely a flat ride, there is a smallish climb on the return after Fall City. We will start by the Starbucks in Carnation - please do NOT park in their parking lot (and that of the IGA store) as there is plenty of on-street parking within a couple of blocks of the Starbucks. The pace will be Steady on the flats; faster riders and better climbers are welcome, but for them the ride becomes self-paced and self-guided. Riders can ride on their own, in small groups, or with the ride leader. Printed Cue Sheets will be available at the start and can be obtained ahead of time by emailing the ride leader by Friday noon before the ride. The draft route is at: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1968272. The ride leader is slow up any hills we may encounter but will always get there. Riders should have 2 tubes, pump, and the knowledge of how to use them. The map to starting location: http://goo.gl/maps/0f1WN
