| Ride Description: |
| We will start at the north end of the UW Arboretum and take in the winter foliage before working our way up and down the ship canal by crossing back and forth on its three bascule bridges. We’ll stop by the Hiram M. Chittenden locks to see if the salmon are running. Bring some change for coffee and a pastry at the Essential Baking Company on our way back to the arboretum. We will stay together and regroup at the top of any hills. Meet in the gravel parking lot at the intersection of Arboretum Drive East and Foster Island Road http://depts.washington.edu/wpa/ArboretumMap.pdf just north of the north entrance to the Arboretum. |
