What do you get when you combine our amazing Seattle Parks and streets filled with bikers and pedestrians? B!kecitement, Seattle’s first bicycle festival, offered in conjunction with Seattle Park’s Big Day of Play on Sunday, June 29.
Hosted at the Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center, B!kecitement kicked off summer in a great way, bringing families and bicycles together while offering information and hands-on activities at dozens of booths that were both bicycle- and play-related. Between bike repairs, an obstacle course, helmet giveaways, family bikes and bicycle decoration, there was no lack of excitement for all things bicycling.
A big thanks to Bikeworks and Seattle Parks and Recreation for hosting a great community event and reminding us all that bikes, families and play are a recipe for success.
