In 2004 we thought it would be fun to send a group of club members to view the Tour de France up close and personal. We worked with top tour companies to bring our members this high quality tour at an exceptional value. We sold out both tours that year and over fifty club members were able to experience one of the greatest sporting events of all time. We branched out in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 to some outstanding new destinations.
We are excited to be able to offer six new tours for the 2009 - 2010 season. There is indeed something for every type of cyclist on our calendar this year. In addition to our wildly popular Vietnam Grand Tour, we just added a Vietnam North tour- visiting the hill tribe region north of Hanoi and nearing the boarders with both China and Laos. For the first time we head south to Central America with a sensational trip to Costa Rica. Finally we are back in Europe in a very big way: Tours to three of the most beautiful cycling areas in the world: French Maritime Alps, Provence-Harvest Time and the Northern Italian Coast -Nice to Pisa, Liguria and the Cinque Terre!
It's important that you note the Cascade Bicycle Club only markets these tours and does not produce them. For that duty we defer to professional tour companies that have staff and operations in the country in which they offer tours. We try to work with the best in the business and use our buying power (of 10,000+ members) to bring you the very best quality tour for the price. We like to think that we know our members: the way you like be treated and the details that are important and the little things that make a great tour experience. While our tour destinations change annually, many of our past tour companies listed below continue to offer discounts to club members on their own tours each year.
We are now in our sixth year of promoting international tours. All of our tours feature:
- Interesting destinations with wonderful cycling opportunities.
- The season with the best chance of ideal weather and riding conditions.
- Top quality food, accommodations and on-road support.
- Route options for various different levels of rider.
- Best tour for the best price. Discounts when possible, but quality comes first.
* Please always check on the cancellation policy before signing up for a tour, and always buy independent trip cancellation insurance if you want peace of mind. If you are not a Cascade Bicycle Club member you can sign up for only $25 for a year. We have many members from around the country, so please join the family today!
