Cascade's only urban ride, the Restore Our Waters Cascade Spawning Cycle, gives riders a chance to pay tribute to the salmon that pass through our city AND ride beautiful routes along Seattle's scenic waterfront. You'll have a choice of five loops, designed to challenge riders of all ages, sizes and abilities, so invite your friends and family to join you!

The two longest routes are based loosely on the Pacific salmon spawning cycle. Starting just north of downtown at Myrtle Edwards Park, riders work their way inland to Lake Washington, back to the Sound via the fish ladder at Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, and finally over and around the magnificent Magnolia Bluff and back to Myrtle Edwards. [more...]

At the park, where all five routes start and end, we'll have a free Bike Thrills & Skillz bike stunt course plus a food court serving up fabulous BBQ salmon burgers, Caesar salads and even an espresso bar. The party will be great fun for participants of all ages! [more...]

Cascade is proud to partner with Restore Our Waters, the City of Seattle's effort to protect and improve the city's waters by reducing stormwater run-off that carries pollutants. Metals, oil and grease from cars can damange salmon's ability to find their way back to their spawning grounds, so riding a bike is a great way to keep our waters clean and our salmon healthy.  Restore Our Waters Cascade Spawning Cycle is an opportunity for cycling enthusiasts to pledge their commitment to biking and to protecting acquatic habitat!

This ride is perfect for anyone wanting to learn beautiful urban routes and enjoy the best that Seattle has to offer a cyclist. We have everything from a 4 mile family ride to the 55-mile Cedar River Special loop, so there's something for everyone! [more info.]
