Are you RAW material? You will be after this ride!! Whether you're participating in Ride Around Washington or not, come join in as we ride through some beautiful mountains and climb a few big hills up to the base area of the Crystal Mountain ski resort. Yes, be prepared to climb and also to descend. Most of the route is rolling terrain going up the upper White River valley with a couple of long hills including the ski resort access road, the Crystal Mountain Hill Climb. This is an out and back ride; so, once we've climbed up, we get to come back down. There will be a possible lunch stop in Greenwater on the descent. From I-405 in Renton, take the Maple Valley-Enumclaw Hwy 169 exit and go east on Hwy 169 all the way to Enumclaw (about 20 miles). Turn left on Griffin Ave, then right on Railroad St (before the hotel on the right) following the signs for Public Parking a block or two off Griffin - park in the lot on the right.
