1:30 PM 61st and Alki at the Statue, West Seattle
Rain Cancels

David Robinson (206)979-5784
Monica Zaborac (206)932-3610

In response to a discussion on the Buddy Board (hey, it actually produces results!) about how to meet that cute guy/gal whom you see riding, we're hosting a Singles (as in relationship status, not bike style) Ride. We'll meet at the Statue of Liberty replica on Alki, across from the Alki Bakery and Pegasus Pizza, go for a low-moderate 25-mile cruise (no this is not a training ride for you hammerheads, neither is it a ride for first timers on a bike). We'll have dinner afterwards at Pegasus, then catch the Christmas ships arriving at Don Armeni Park (about 1 1/2 miles from the start-they'll have a bonfire going). The ships arrive at 7:35, so we may hang out at David's condo on Alki if we need to. Non-singles are welcome, but we'll figure out a way to indicate who you are (no cheating!) so you don't have to endure being hit on. Come on out and have fun, meet some new folks and get a little late fall exercise. If it rains, we'll meet for pizza at 5:00 at Pegasus and walk down to enjoy the ships. The ride will be done before dark, but if you plan on riding from Pegasus to Don Armeni Park, please bring lights.

10-15 mi NA NA Off-Road Map: No Stay Together
1:30 PM Tolt River John MacDonald Park, Carnation
Rain Cancels

Roger Salstrom (206)276-8348

Well, I've done off-road rides before, but nothing like this. Get out those mountain bikes 'cause we're goin' off-road'n. We'll head up into the single track maze of Tolt MacDonald. This is true mountain biking, so be prepared to put out some sweat and tears and maybe receive a few bumps and bruises. It will probably be muddy in places, so also be ready to get dirty. There is no pace listed as we will be riding very tight twisty trails, but consider the difficulty about equivalent to a strong moderate ride, though with the possibility of running into trees and falling off your bike every now and then. Sounds like fun, huh! Take I-90 east to Preston, Preston Fall City Road to Fall City, turn right and cross the river, turn left just across the river onto SR-203, continue on SR-203 into Carnation, turn left into Tolt River John MacDonald Park, continue straight back to the parking area.
